Paris, France

Paris is a beautiful city, and I love visiting there.  The last time I was there, I was with my husband on one of his business trips, so I was on my own during the day while he was working.  One day I had bought a walking tour that was to meet in front of the Ritz Carlton at 9 a.m.  I had my city map and took the subway to the nearest stop.  I was pretty certain I had figured out how to get there, but I took a couple of wrong turns.   My challenge was that even with my map, when I would stop and ask people how to get there, they only spoke French and I only spoke English.  Even a doorman at one of the nice hotels did not speak English, so I ended up missing my walking tour.  I eventually found where I was supposed to be -- only two hours later.  It was part of the adventure and along the way I discovered many beautiful parts of the city I probably would not have seen.

San Francisco

San Francisco is one of my favorite cities in the U.S.  It is very pretty and a fun place to visit.   It is a fun city to walk, and then if you get too tired of walking on the hilly streets, you can always jump on one of the many cable cars.

South Beach Miami

This is the famous South Beach area of Miami Beach.  It is a really unique place to visit with the largest area of art deco buildings to be found anywhere.  It is equally beautiful from the air.

Key West, Florida

These photos were taken flying in to Key West.  It is spectacular and the water is many different shades of blue and green, and you can see the bottom of the ocean when you fly, but you can not tell how deep the water is.

Pompano Beach area

This is our view as we fly back to our home base of Pompano Beach.  A really beautiful place.

Daytona Beach racetrack and airport

This photo was taken flying over the Daytona Beach racetrack.  It is really cool because the airport is immediately adjacent to the racetrack.  If you look very closely at this photo, the Goodyear Blimp is also flying over the area.  The Blimp is closer to the ground than we are.

St. Petersburg Airport

These photos were taken while landing at the downtown St. Petersburg Airport which is very near Tampa, Florida.  It is one of my favorite small airports in Florida because it is so close to downtown and the water.   Landing here feels like I would imagine it must feel to land on an aircraft carrier.

This is the Fort Lauderdale Beach near where we moved.  This is the "after the move" photo.

This photo was taken in January of this year, the month we moved from Minneapolis to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  This is the "before the move photo".

Welcome to My Blog!

Greetings from Florida.  This blog will be photos of many of the trips that I take.  My husband is a pilot and we are very fortunate to be able to fly to new and exciting places.  This photo was taken on the 4th of July in St. Augustine, Florida, which is the oldest city in America.
